What sustainability means to us

At D&G Office Interiors, we believe that the spaces we create have the power to inspire, motivate, and transform. Exceptional design should not come at the expense of our planet’s finite resources, now or in the future. This view underpins our commitment to continuously improving sustainability in our workplaces. Our approach to sustainable design is holistic; we consider every aspect of the office environment to create workspaces that are highly functional, aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible. We think carefully about the materials selected, energy that can be conserved and the potential for waste reduction in the product and design options we offer our clients.

Our Environmental Management System (EMS)

In addition to our Health, Safety and Quality certificates, our environmental management system is certified to BS EN ISO14001:2015. This external validation reflects our commitment to minimise the impact of our business activities on the environment. Our EMS drives our sustainability goals and supports our customers and stakeholders to incorporate sustainability into their own operations.

"We believe in creating workspaces that not only enhance the well-being of individuals but also prioritise the health of our planet. Our goal is to be carbon neutral by 2034.

We have developed a carbon reduction plan in preparation for Science Based Targets validation and monitor our carbon footprint annually using UK Government GHG emission conversion factors.

We use LED lighting, optimise vehicle loads, and prioritise electric and hybrid vehicles to reduce emissions.

Our suppliers are BS EN ISO 14001:2015 certified or equivalent and help minimise packaging through reusable bags, cardboard protectors, and returnable boxes.

Our online Sustainable Shop supports circular economy principles by reducing waste and extending product life.

Our Partnerships

Our partnerships with "Too Good To Waste" and "A Good Thing" are central to our commitment to sustainability and community support.

  • These collaborations allow us to repurpose surplus office furniture and materials, diverting them from landfills and giving them a second life. Through these initiatives, we can make a tangible difference in both our environment and our communities.

By donating these items to local charities and community groups, we not only reduce waste but also contribute to positive social impact, helping those in need.
