Admiral tasked us with revamping their 4th-floor breakout area, they wanted a space that embodied the Admiral culture and promoted collaboration.
Working to both a tight timescale and budget, we created a scheme that provided a solution to reflect the new ambiance they wanted to achieve.
The Solution
We injected splashes of eclectic colour throughout, and carefully chose exclusive patterned and heavily textured fabrics to achieve the cosy look they desired.
A stain and spill resistant material palette was used throughout and a layout that provided spaces to socialise as well as one to one quiet zones were created.
We’ve created a vibrant and dynamic environment where staff can relax away from their desks while fostering opportunities for connection and productivity.
Different Ways of Connecting
We divided up the space into multiple areas to encourage different ways of connecting.
A games area featuring a ping pong table and xbox station for staff to relax in their down time. A central area that highlighted the expansive glass windows overlooking Cardiff. We also made use of awkward spaces by planning a collaboration booth creating a desirable spot within the floor plate.
We followed the Admiral household brand guidelines to create a scheme that portrayed their brand message and incorporated pockets of easy movable furniture so the space could adapt with its users. Due to the open plan nature we used acoustic sound absorption boards throughout the floor plate in a variety of complimentary colours that fitted in with the design.
